IC

Board-level replacement chips — charging control ICs, power management, audio and EEPROM components. These are surface-mount parts fitted with hot air under magnification, not plug-in replacements.
How to choose IC
Diagnose before you order. Current draw on a bench supply plus diode-mode readings around the suspect chip will localise most faults; replacing an IC on suspicion is expensive guesswork and it risks the pads underneath. Match the marking on your board exactly, because closely related part numbers across generations are not interchangeable.
IC frequently asked questions
What are the symptoms of a failed charging IC?
A phone that will not charge, charges only intermittently, reports "accessory not supported", or runs warm around the port with nothing plugged in. It is one of the most common board-level faults.
Should I replace the charging port before the IC?
Yes. Clean the port, rule out the cable and charger, and try a known-good port flex first. The chip is the last step, not the first.
How do I know I have the right chip?
Read the marking on the chip on your board and match it exactly. One character of difference means a different part.
