Do I need the version with the IC?

If you would rather not transfer the driver chip off your original layer, yes. We stock both variants for most models — tell us your workflow and we will point you at the right one.

Is this a complete screen?

No. It is the touch layer alone, for refurbishment work. If you need a working display to fit straight into a phone, you want a complete assembly instead.
