Should this be my only tweezer?

It is a good everyday pair, but keep a fine hand-finished pair for placing small passives and a ceramic pair for soldering. Different jobs genuinely need different tips.

Why keep a separate rough pair?

Because levering a bracket with hand-matched tips splays them permanently. A workhorse pair takes that abuse so your precision tweezers stay precise.
