Why did my flashlight stop working with wireless charging?

Because they share this flex. The wireless charging coil, the NFC antenna and the flashlight are on one assembly, so one piece of damage takes out all three — which is exactly how you identify the fault.

Could back glass work have caused this?

Very often, yes. The coil sits directly behind the rear glass, so excessive heat during a back glass replacement damages it. If the fault appeared right after that job, this is the likely cause.

Does replacing it need soldering?

No. It is a plug-in flex assembly — a screwdriver and pry-tool job.
